My Story

Artist: I grew up in an artistic family and also studied art as a child in Philadelphia, PA taking Saturday classes at various art schools. Later I studied at Moore College of Art and Design, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA, and the Academy of Art University of San Francisco, CA. I have worked freelance most of my life, creating art for print and selling products at local gift shops in various areas of PA where I lived most of my life. In 2010 I started a small pet care business that inspired me to offer pet portraits.  I moved to Ohio with my family in 2017 and since have been working on new art inspired by my love for animals and the country lifestyle.

Pet Care: As a child I always had animals in my life, from our own pet cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, hamsters, fish, ferrets, mice and reptiles, to spending time on my grandma's farm. I also rescued a few animals as a child and later in life did years of volunteer work with a cat rescue organization and a wildlife rehabilitation and education center. During that time I worked part time at a pet hotel and was inspired to start my own small pet care business. In 2010 I got certified through NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters) and started my business in PA. There, I got the opportunity to care for not only cats and dogs, but chickens, ducks, horses, goats, and various other "pets". I spent three years volunteering with the wildlife rehab where I learned even more about the animals I sometimes come in contact with while out walking dogs. During that time I also completed a Veterinary Assistant Diploma program. In 2015 I got an AA Liberal Studies degree with a concentration in Environmental Science, which further grew my knowledge on animals and nature. In 2017 I moved with my family to Ohio and restarted my pet care business. I have been enjoying meeting all the new clients and caring for their fur babies.
